NEST BOXES

The placing of nest box creates suitable nesting site to a lot of birds species that usually decide to nest inside a cavity.

It recreates the condition that animals choose in nature to nest such as trees' cavitiy, old nests created by woodpecher into the tree or building cavities (roof or walls' cavity etc..).

Nest boxes' use is very important to birds' conservation, moreover it gives you an unique opportunity to watch them carefully and from distance.

Nest box is a perfect decoration for trees, house walls and porches.

My nest boxes structure is made of

sprouce wood,

it is soaked with water based varnysh

only outside.

A waterproof roof cover protects

the nest box from water.

It is possible to open the roof

to clean the box from old nests.

At the moment

I make

five types of nest boxes:

- Closed standard nest box: it is suitable for the majority of little birds that nest into cavities as Great tit, Coal tit, Marsh tit, Bluetit, Common and Blak redstart, Italian and Eurasian tree sparrow, Spotted flycatcher, Eurasian wryneck, Eurasian nuthatch.

- Open standard nest box: It has been made following studies about Eurasian flycatcher, Back and Common redstart's habits.

- Big closed nest box: The perfect nest for Hoopoe and Eurasian scops owl.

-Little Owl tunnel nest box : a nice nocturnal birds of prey, that is very common to be seen in urban areas. The nest box has been made studing the little owl ethology, if it is properly placed, little owls will enjoy it a lot.

- Twany owl nest box: This box is the biggest I make. The perfect solution for who has got a big garden with large trees. Twany owl is an habitual guest of this nest box.
